Country Roots worm bedding is a hand-crafted blend of coco coir, fungal woody material, shredded paper & carboard, alpaca compost, leaves, plants, rice hulls, crushed oats, barley, biochar, minerals and rock dusts all composted down and blended for the worms to thrive in. No municipal waste, food scraps, corn meals, soy or other GMO foods are used in our worm bedding. Plus, our bedding and castings are peat-free.

Simply add the material to the bed of your choice and add worms. We can also provide worms with the blend. Some worms are likely to be found in the mix as we harvest worms from the mix and alpaca compost. Make sure you keep your beds at about 50-70 percent moisture. Working the bedding with water ahead of time and maintaining a constant water schedule will keep the worms happily thriving.
